First Day of School
We are so sad for summer to be over. I am not excited for school to start. I know it is going to be good for them to go to school and learn and make friends. But I just want them to be home with me FOREVER. I know that is such a realistic thing to hope for but I can dream, right? I just miss them like crazy and worry about them when they aren't with me. I hope that this year will be great for them. I also hope they enjoy Kindergarten and Second Grade. They are growing up too fast for me.
"You must get all of the education that you possibly can. Life has become so complex and competitive. You cannot assume that you have entitlements due you. You will be expected to put forth great effort and to use your best talents to make your way to the most wonderful future of which you are capable." Words of the Prophet: Seek Learning By President Gordon B. Hinckley
"Whatever principle of intelligence we attain unto in this life, it will rise with us in the resurrection." Doctrine and Covenants 130:18
Education is important. I will miss them but they are doing what they need to right now.

Answered Prayers
We recently found out that our sweet little guy has high functioning autism. It really wasn't a shock but at the same time I just wanted to cry. I wanted to cry because we finally had answers and knew for sure that is what has been going on. I wanted to cry because of the diagnosis we got. Not that it is bad but just not what I wanted for my son. But I realize he was sent to us for a reason and with the challenges he has and will have for a reason. What reason I don't know but I do know that he is so special. We love him so much. He definitely tests my patience some days but he is so sweet and loving. We have a long road ahead of us but I am so grateful for the answers we have received from the many prayers we have given over the years. Trying to figure out what we were doing wrong what we need to do better. I'm so grateful that Heavenly Father is looking out for us and giving us the guidance we need. Because of finding out he has autism before the year started we were able to get him to a school that can help him better then the one we were planning on him going to. It isn't the way we planned our lives to go but I am so grateful for what we have and where we are today. Just look at how cute and sweet this little guy is.....

We are so lucky to be his parents. I was reading one of my friends blogs earlier. She is amazing by the way. She was telling about a challenge that one of her kids has and she has learned to always be grateful. I am going to try and always be grateful. Things could always be worse and we have so much to be grateful for.
