I haven't been on in forever! I really need to get better. Now that I am on here finally everything has changed and I am all confused. LOL oh well I'll figure it out once I start posting more regularly again.
My poor sweet boys are just getting over hand, foot and mouth disease. It is such a horrible disease. I had never heard of it til my sister was telling me her kids had it about a month or two ago and I thought it sounded so awful. I also hoped my kids would never get it. So I guess that's why we got it. :(
Here are some pictures of my poor little guys.
Brennan's poor little face.
Blake had blisters all over his hands, feet and bottom. It was so sad.
Brock's hands and feet. You can't really tell in this picture but they got really bad. It was so awful. And there's nothing that the doctors can do so you just have to wait for them to get better. We had a lot of sleepless nights with kids crying because they hurt so bad. I hate when there is nothing we can do to make them better. But now they are finally feeling better and up running around and wrestling and all the other stuff boys love to do. Life is so good!!
These are my boys that I love so much! Don't know what I would do without their silly, active, loving personalities in our home!!!

Our Sweet Blake
Blake turned three. I know I know I can hardly believe it either! Time sure has flown by. We have learned so much since he has come in to our family. We are so HAPPY he is here with us!! There have been so many ups and downs a long the way. I can't believe how much this little guy has had to go through. He is such a strong kid! I have learned so much from him.
He loves to sing and dance. And I love watching him to do both, it always make me smile! He loves trucks, cars, trains, dinosaurs, basicly anything boy. His favorite color is green. He loves his big brother so much and looks up to him. He also loves being a big brother and is always trying to help his little brother even when it isn't all that helpful. But it is so cute that he wants to help and that he is trying so hard! He loves to read books and color too.
Here is our precious guy when he was a week old
Here he is at a year
two years old
and our big boy at three
Of those of you who don't know he has a heart condition that isn't very common especially for a newborn to of had. Well recently we found out that it wasn't under control like we thought. It wasn't the best day for me when I found that out. All the emotions from when I found out that he had this (he was about 3 days old when we first saw signs of it) came flooding back. I was worried he would be life flighted again or at least hospitalized. But we are so lucky he has such an amazing cardiologist!! She helped us to figure things out so that we hopefully wouldn't have to go back to the hospital and it worked! She called me a week ago to tell me that it looks like his new medicine is doing the trick. YAY!!! The only down fall is it can change their mood sometimes. Not so great. She told me this after I told her about some weird behavior he has been having lately so she thinks he might be one of the small few who on this med. have this side effect. Oh great just what we wanted. We are very happy he is safe and they have a med for him but it is REALLY hard dealing with his attitude lately. She said he should adjust within a month so *fingers crossed* he does. But I am so HAPPY that he is doing good so I will take that not so great side effect over the other HORRIBLE one!!! We are so happy that he is here with us and that we have this figured out(hopefully)!!!

Date Night
In February the Relief Society weekday meeting is on Date Night. I am really excited about it so I thought I'd share a few things that I decided to do since we started to plan this activity.
I saw on pinterest an idea to make a date night can. They had a lot of good ideas on there for dates but I wanted ones that we could do at home because it is really hard for us to get a babysitter. So I started to search online and found some awesome sites. One is an old Ensign article that I used some of the ideas from. If you want to read the article you can find it at http://www.lds.org/ensign/1991/04/date-night-at-home?lang=eng
I typed up all of the ideas I got and then printed them out and cut them up and put them in a can I made. I used an old sour cream container (one of the big one's from Sam's) and put scrapbook paper over it. So now once a week on of us will be in charge of date night and it will be a little easier because we don't have to do as much thinking! ;) Which I think can be one of the hardest parts.
I also found some good articles about having date nights with your kids but I'm not sure where I put the info on that one. It was an old Ensign or some kind of church material article. It was really good though. The lady was talking about how they made sure they took their kids out on dates and talked with them and spend good quality one on one time and now that they are in high school they still talk to their parents and especially about the really important things. So we are going to try and do this with our kids even more then before and hopefully it will turn out good for all of us!! :)
